My School


      A school is a pious place of learning. A good school is a Centre for learning good habits. So I think my school is good school. My school is Sri Palee College. 
         Sri Palee College in Horana is one of the main mixed schools in Sri Lanka. It is public school and It established 1934. My schools' principal is M.D.Jayasiri and My schools' color is maroon and gold.
        Mr. Wilmot Abraham pereia was a revolutionary educationist and a politician of Sri Lanka. He established a similar institution in Ceylon and invited Guru Dev Rabindranath Tagore
who was an Indian writer, artist and educationist to lay the foundation stone for the institution. It is named by Guru Dev Rabindranath  that Sri Palee. This was laid on 20 May 1934 in Horana. 
       At present the principal, 140 academic staff and 20 non-academic staff operate at the Collage. The education medium is
Sinhala and English medium is being introduced. English is taught as secondary language in all classes. Science, mathematics and commerce stream are available of secondary educational level. 
         There is a big library, science laboratory and big theater. Then It also has a beautiful garden. There are many kinds of plants and trees. 
               Many famous people are built from my school. So I'm proud of my school and I love very much.

My Best Friend

              My best friend is Banuka Deshan who is 22 years old.😃😀😉 He live in Kananvila. He is a very handsome and kind boy .👦😊 I have known him since preschool. He has been my best friend ever since.       After our pre-school education we entered one school. We are both Sri Medhankara M. V. Learned up to O/L. 😊😀😁 There I had to pass O/L and go to another school. After that the bond at school was lost.😞😔  But for the A/L exam we went to class together and studied together. That kept our friendship going well.😅😆             We passed the exam well. Now he has a good job in a private company. He has another sister. He is 4 years younger than us. Banuka likes buses a lot.
