Our New Year's Eve Game Festival

  

                        There are many festivals celebrating by Sri Lankans. 

                    

                   One of them is Sinhala and Tamil New year. 

                    

                 Sri Lankan people are celebrated great that festival.

              But 2021 year had spreaded covied 19. So Sri Lankan people had can't celebrated that festival good. So people celebrated it with only family. So children had cannot played in New Year's eve games. Our village children were same it.

                                                                                                        So My village old people presented a new idea. It was about they organized a New Year's eve games festival. So Finaly Our area people were organized to hold a New Year's eve.

                    It was small one because there were covied 19. So all of our area people joined it. Some of them was me. Some one gave money for buying gifts to give winners. As well as some of them gave tools for holding games.

             There were many different games for playing to children. Some of it were Gama Haraha Divima, Kana Mutti Bidima, Banis Kema, Aurudu Kumara Kumari and Wikat Adum Tharagaya. Raban Gesima, Onchili Waram, Gudu Penima were during it.

             I was joined folk singing compition and I won first place. As well as children were joined many games and they were won it.

            Children and our area people were very happy by this. Finally we ended New Year's eve games festival successfully.
